[beer ./. food(beer)]

Do you mean the ECS agricultural vector?
Yes.
[incompatibilities between NewCargo and AlpineClimate]
My current plan is to create a mountainous scenario with variable snow level, rivers and small towns. I'd also like to get the food industry working (food processing plants, fishing grounds and breweries, but no other additional new industry if possible - just like in your Newcargo GRF - though it would probably help a lot if beer was simply food, too). And I'm running into problems. Basically I have two options. Either to use your AlpineClimate GRF or to use a GRF that implements variable snow level to temperate climate (that would be the Canadian Stations Set in my case).
Problem is that you can´t really have more than one .grf modifying the same resources. I.e., in scenario1 you´ll have both AlpineClimate and NewCargo specifying the food industry - which just won´t work. And I think it´s the same with TTRS (scenario2).
In the Alpine climate both TTRS buildings and original ones are snow aware, which is great. But if I'm not mistaken somehow the original buildings don't accept neither food, nor beer (stadiums). Or maybe offices do accept food based on the ttdpatch.cfg file's settings, and it's just not shown? TTRS buildings here accept food (but not beer).
I don´t know anything about the inner mechanisms of TTRS.
Also the Rivers GRF is unfortunately not working under Alpine climate.
Yes, that´s right. Rivers only works in temperate but AlpineClimate is essentially arctic (only looks like temperate with snow). ATM, there´s no possibility to use rivers.grf in any other climate than temperate.
In the temperate original houses accept food, and stadiums and some offices accept beer.
Only because (and when) NewCargo is loaded ...

I have tried moving around the grf files in the newgrf.cfg, but to no avail. Maybe I overlooked something. Is there an easy way out of this?
Unfortunately not, see above. It´s a "catch-22" situation. I.e., only if AlpineClimate won´t define any new industries (which is has to because it needs to carry over all temperate industries to arctic) or if NewCargo won´t (which it has to because w/o new industries its new cargoes won´t work). Only when loaded separately, both .grfs will work as intended, but not together. This may be the same with TTRS instead of AlpineClimate, and any other combination of .grfs which are defining (resp overriding) the same buildings or industries.
Rivers are not that important, I'd just like to get either TTRS buildings accepting food in temperate (and maybe a GRF that makes original buildings snow-aware in temperate if there is such one) or either original buildings accepting food and beer on Alpine. If anybody could help that would be greatly appreciated.
Well, whenever NewCargo will be replaced by a better ECS-conforming industries/cargo set, I´ll (try to) make it compatible with AlpineClimate.
