Just drew some 47s to get myself back in the mood. Fairly happy with the results, though some are better than the others...
1. BR Two tone green
2. BR "Rail Blue"
3. BR Large logo blue
4. BR Swallow (can double as ScotRail)
5. BR Large logo grey
6. BR Freight sector
7. Rail Express Systems
8. Virgin Trains (old)
9. Network Southeast
10. First Great Western
11. (Class 57) Freightliner
12. (Class 57) Virgin Trains (new)
Quite satisfying to get them done, so I might work on the 25s tomorrow (I think there are 25s in the set, I can't remember any more - but there damn well ought to be! They were nicknamed "Rats" because they bloody got everywhere!)
<edit>
Okay, so rats are done! Yay! (Must go through the old thread and have a good look about). I've reserved the 56s instead. Given their near identical appearance to 47s, and the limited number of liveries, they should be a doddle (hell, there are already close references to all the 56s liveries in the set).... Hmm, I think that's cursed it now.
Anyway, must be off. I was going to have an early night tonight. Again.

Any TT, TTD or OTTD sprites I have ever posted to this forum or elsewhere may be used as-is or in edited form free of charge for any purpose without credit in perpetuity.
Selected livery will depend on the year built, and the cargo hauled,
eg to get RES livery, you'll have to build in the late 1990s and attach mail wagons to it.
The only problem will be the Network Southeast livery, which will probably have to be a 1/2 random livery with Swallow.

There is a choice of privatized liveries: First Great Western, Freightliner and Virgin. These are, as far as I know, the only companies to have used 47s / 57s in the privatised era, although to make the coding easier only one of the Virgin liveries is used.
I think 12 different liveries for one loco is enough to be getting on with for now!

Would you be interested in fixing that? Google Images can usually find something suitable.
Another very useful chore would be to dig through all the back-pages of this and the other BR-set thread, and collect all the sprites that have been drawn already. They need to be posted on the site, and noted who drew them. Then we'll see where we are with the set, and it can make progress.
Neither of these tasks are very challenging or require particular skill, but they do take a good bit of time.

Well, I've got a few sprites scattered around, but I have just secured an apartment, so I should be able to start back up in about 5 days, becasue I also need a new Saab, my old 900 was in a crash in New Jersey, so that will hold things up a bit. And yes, my room looks out over the Green Line on the b-line, so i'm very happy!
It's not me in my avatar, it's a time lord!

i come bearing gifts!
http://www.thejunction.org.uk/
not totally complete, but very useful for colour schemes, loco shapes, etc etc
i also have a question:
I am an openttd player, which now has very good newgrf support, but i was wondering how i change the livery of the loco i am building, i am sure that what year it is has something to do with it. but i am still unable to get access to: for example ; the LNER A4 in white, which is something i would love
so if anyone else is using this set (or other similiar ones) in openttd and has this working, or just has any suggestions then i would be very grateful
Cheers

I have drawn my first TT vehicle set
not quite as good as the stuff in this set so far i know, but not bad for a first attempt i think
now all i need is someone to help me put it into a grd
i have read read and re-read the stuff about .nfo coding but i am definately none the wiser
also if anyone has any comments on this set please share
it is a current day met line loco, it runs as 2 4-car units coupled together
Update: Met, northern is finished (againx3) pending any comments
Circle due soon

Is there really much point in us carrying on with this set when the UK Replacement Set is doing so much better?
I just can't see me having any time to work on this for a long while now (due to yet more changes in personal circumstances - I'm now a published novelist!) and nothing much really seems to go on without me or Andrew around :/
It would be nice to see this set finished to a fashion one day, but I don't really see the need for two British sets...

yeah I see your point but then the ukrs is in total ttd style. Maybe when all the gathering is done we could make this set compatible with the ukrs so there arent missing wagons.
Formerly known as r0b0t_b0y2003, robotboy, roboboy and beclawat. The best place to get the most recent nightly builds of TTDPatch is: http://roboboy.users.tt-forums.net/TTDPatch/nightlies/
well i posted it here since this set didnt seem to be dead, and the graphics are imo a lot better than the ukrs set
maybe if we could get all the sprites already drawn for this set together then we could get a better idea of how much work is left
and also if anyone has a complete .nfo tutorial then i would love to start coding but the best one i have found so far is unfinished

Yes, getting the sprites together is for sure the most important thing, and it doesn't take any special skills, just time and access to the Wiki site.
