Don't you want credit for it?

If your mods are spread over the world, it's not likely that the attached readme file stays with your creation.
Then you must make a fingerprint on it , what isn't easy or even impossible.
Like i said, fans will find us

I agree with d00mh4mm3r, people don't know and don't care about who made what, and if they do, they will find the original creator too.

I don't care at all what is made with my modified vehicles. You can upload and download it, edit to new arrangements, integrate it into scenarios or landscapes or do whatever else you want do do with. You can give me credits or not, I don't care at all.
This is not my business, it make it just for fun and I don't care what others do with. All my created objects are also just proposals, not designs.

But when a creator of objects is giving rules about handling with his created objects, this should be respected.

Go to GameFAQs, read a few of the copyright notices. FAQ writers very explicitly state which sites are allowed to host or use in any form their carefully assembled information (most often, sites like Gamespot and Ziff-Davis Publishing are forbidden from using the info) and also they ask to be credited.

Which is fair enough, I suppose. They don't want certain people riding on the backs of their ideas, and they want to ensure that *they* get credit for their work.

I can sort of understand how akalamania feels - I've made a few Trainz layouts - and the other day, I found someone had made their own version of a route I'd already done. I was a bit upset, but life goes on.

If 2 versions exist, there has to be a method of controlling the "better" of the 2 items in my opinion. Argeeably, there are going to be instances where 2 versions or more of the same object, the BR Class 156 is one example. James73, Gregsd and myself all had plans and meshes of the same object. But, other people need to be given a chance.

Your comment is welcomed however
