When you open a saved game (saved with beta2) the game crashes. So the savegame feature does not work (completely). :(

Hey, korenn, test planes :)
Watch what happens when you build one and give it either no order, or with orders.

Joe: do you have a savegame for me? I haven't been able to reproduce the error.

habell: I think that depends on the game... worked fine with me... also, could you perhaps upload / send a savegame?

Maverick: yeah i know, it's a horrible bug. have you tried ships? ;)

I dunno, below ground super-sonic tunneling aircraft is a pretty cool idea! If only they went towards their destination...
And no, I haven't tried ships. Since Spinoff 1, All I know to do is NOT use them, at all :

This is the savegame. It's a new game started in SpinOff Beta2

[Edit]I can't upload it here, probably the file is to big (over 1Mb zipped). Now what? [/Edit]

[Edit2] here is a link to the save-game.[Edit2]

bug

Post by TheMole »

I certainly like it, but my pc doesn't agree...

The game crashes every time I select or remove a certain depot. It's the bottom one. Hmm, posting the savegame won't work. Let me know if you need it.

Keep up the good work! I can see the potential here...

Gurk3: By merging it with the sourcecode - I expect you don't know what this is so don't bother, just download the binary.

99gnome: I expect there is a language file in the patch so just get this and translate away, then get strgen.exe from one of the nightly builds and compile the language file.

edk256: Copy the files over an existing installation of OpenTTD.

EDIT #1:

Hmmm: (see pics)

Also it looks like I can't load my old saved games from beta 1 (    ) "Load game failed: found unknown tag in savegame (sync error)." - I might upload it later, its 1.34mb.

EDIT #2:

Uploaded wrong file.

EDIT #3:

Delete cfg file = no more graphic errors.

The game keeps crashing ...

Post by xxxvinniexxx »

... after I load a saved game. I can play a new game and play it a while and nothing happens. But after I load a saved game it will crash. Not instantly, but after a few days or a month.

I have a savegame problem like several others here.
I start a new game (with the build from the 30. august) and save it.
When I reload the game, it crashes after a few days to a month. If I load a savegame where I haven't build anything yet, it doesn't crash.
If I try to click on a depot from a loaded game, the game crashes.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload a savegame.
The savegame is available from this address:
http://www.logic-it.dk/TransCorp,%2023r ... 201953.bsv

I now read the whole topic, but it doesn't seem there is a Mac version of this thing. I really would like to try it, but since I'm not too familiar with coding, I think I'll have to wait until someone does such a version.

So, is there anyone who is working on a Mac version of the challenge spinoff?

All you need to do is patch the latest SVN and then compile it - I have absolutely no idea how to that on a Mac though I am afraid.
