OTTD Problems

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Bob Ross;

First of all WELCOME!

Now, like Mr. Rob said I work with TTDLX, not OTTD. However, if you go to
Transport Tycoon Forums Forums Index, under Open TTD Problems, I guarantee
someone will help you, Sir.

I know how frustrating it is to get started. See, I'm just a 'regular', but, there
are plenty of 'Pros' around who are the nicest guys you ever met and they will help you.

Good Luck, Sorry I can't help this time.

Always,
Jim Powers

With the latest nightly versions of OpenTTD, Jim's scenarios should work. However, you may need to use whatever graphics sets Jim has used - the posts that go with each scenario should state which sets are used. If you continue to have problems, you may just have to wait for OpenTTD to support the games - as Jim suggests, ask in the OpenTTD Problems forum.

In addition, the more recent of Jim's scenarios won't work in unpatched TTD either, due to him using advanced TTDPatch features. Basically, for the optimal experience with these scenarios, use the latest TTDPatch beta. :)

Mr. Raichase;

Congratulations on your own thread, Big Guy,
"Raichase's Official Screenshot Thread"!
And and a big 'Thanks' for faithfully updating my scenario list. I truly appreciate it, Sir.

You do deserve that topic on screenshots. I should take more time to comment, but,
you have a pretty large fan base already. :wink:

Keep up the good work, My Friend.

Always,
Jim Powers

Expansion of Subways

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Owen Rudge;

Thanks for the information about my scenario compatibilities, I could never be able to
assist in these areas. It's so nice of you to take the time to explain this.
Also, Mr. Rob, thanks for letting our new member know that I work under the TTDPatch,
not OpenTTD. :wink:

I guess one of these days I'll have a good hard look at OTTD. Who knows, I might
even figure it out? But, right now, I'm more than happy with where I'm at, and enjoying it
tremendously. :lol:

A couple of screenies.

Always,
Jim Powers

Now, notice the 4-Lane 'Subways'. All passenger service is underground and the commercial [industrial] steam trains are above ground. Great Fun!

You do a great job mr. Jim Powers!!

You're maps are great :)

but i've a little question/request...

when you don't have any idea for a new map, you maybe can make a map of belgium :)

would be nice to play on i guess!

But don't hurry, you can do it when you have the time, and if you don't wont to, no problemo!! :)

Keep on making great scenario's!!

a big fan!

Belgium Scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Ikkenick;

I'm certainly glad to know you are enjoying my scenarios, Sir. Currently I'm playing a game
from my "Spicy Spain", Called Spanish Express Ltd. I really know those who'll be
playing games from "Spicy Spain" will be thrilled. I'm having a blast. Wonder my wife
don't leave me, the way I'm glued to TTD, Ha, Ha.
Here's a screenie from my RR network.8)

Anyway, a Belgium scenario sounds like fun. Do me a favor first though, 1) Find a really good
map of Belgium. 2) Get me 'info' on it's resources. And 3) I'll need an elevation map also.

Give those 3 items to me and I'll go to work on it and see if I can do Belgium proud, OK?

Always,
Jim Powers

and for it resources:

coal in the eastern part and the ardennes
steel in the southern en western part
farms in the nord, close to the see

in antwerp some chemical plants, oil and so one...

Maybe you have to make a bit more sea so you can put some oil rigs :)

*a elevation map is my next post, as i can't attach more dan 3 files in one post*

Split all the OT-discussion from Jim's thread here, so try and keep this thread tidy.

Feel free to change the topic title of that thread, thats just a random one I came up with for the split.

Thanks :))

Trams & Belgium

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Ikkenick;

Well, you've done your homework now I'll have to leave my game and do mine. :lol:
I've got started on "Boundless Belgium" and it should be a good scenario.

But, before I shut down my 'Spanish Express Ltd.' game I wanted to show you all
part of the Trams I've laid out . These dudes are fun!8)

Yeah I was also looking to those nice buildings. But those screenies they are awsome. I love the underground network of passenger trains. But is'nt it holding up as you can't place signals in tunnels?
