Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
Final versions of the diesel crawler crane (I might draw a steam one for earlier in the game). I've put these on the correct grid spacing, and made the lifting cable a different length in each angle for variety.

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
Added another angle to the log stacker. This is missing forks at the moment - it can be used for wood and containers, the sprites for cargo are not finalised yet.or a red & white one if they are wanted.
It probably looks too modern to use before about 1980. I could mod this one to an older version, or draw a second sprite, but I don't want to make mart3p's coding too time-consuming. Thoughts? EDIT: made a few tweaks, and this is good back to about 1965 I reckon:
Latest from TT Foundry is a heavy forklift. This sprite is not finalised yet. It's in company colour, I could also do a yellow one, It probably looks too modern to use before about 1980. Very nice.andythenorth wrote:Final versions of the diesel crawler crane...

I love the forklift. If you're doing an additional colour my preference would be a yellow one.andythenorth wrote:Latest from TT Foundry is a heavy forklift. This sprite is not finalised yet. It's in company colour, I could also do a yellow one, or a red & white one if they are wanted.

I agree, an older version would be good for pre-1980. Maybe red & white should be the second colour option for the older version.
Don't worry about that, I'm sure coding them won't take as long as drawing them.andythenorth wrote:...but I don't want to make mart3p's coding too time-consuming.

Three for the price of two: yellow, cc, and red & white. Final sprites, but the forks are left out - I'm hoping we can comp those in the grf so we can have different cargoes on the forks (containers, paper etc), and maybe randomised fork height (if it's worth the bother)?
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
I like
Excellent work Can't wait to see what the industry stations does with them

TT Foundry presents a Reach Stacker, for your container needs:
Teaser for Dan MacK. This is the reach stacker with NARS truck (this won't be possible in the game - just making this for fun very quickly, about to go out!) Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
It's not too much bother, I think we should do it (see my PM with more info).andythenorth wrote:Final sprites, but the forks are left out - I'm hoping we can comp those in the grf so we can have different cargoes on the forks (containers, paper etc), and maybe randomised fork height (if it's worth the bother)?

Reach stacker with down, mid, up boom positions.
More colours will follow & a reverse angle. Mart - the parts for this are layered (cab can move as well), we can sort out how many variations you want to code by PM.- Beardie

Alas, the amount of sprites allowed is not as endless. Is there any likelihood of the sprite limit being lifted, or are coding efficiencies able to make room for all these great little details?Beardie27 wrote:Its just endless the amount of cranes you have. Just great

Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
At the moment we are only looking at an additional 20 or 30 sprites. There are a number of areas that I am looking at that will reduce sprite usage. The biggest saving will be made by using re-colour sprites for the mineral piles, which will save about 150 sprites.krtaylor wrote:Alas, the amount of sprites allowed is not as endless. The main thing I see that will add to the sprite usage in future, is the addition of snowy buildings. This will require an additional sprite for each current building sprite.

Zip of finalised reach stacker sprites - 2 angles, 3 colours, 3 boom extensions.
Re: Industrial Stations Renewal (v 0.7.0 available!)
These all look great Andy but the container stacker and some of the cranes, in my opinion, have too dark jibs/arms. They just look like a black line which detracts somewhat from otherwise a lovely piece of art. Maybe a dark grey would be better?

Could be. Palette is a bit short of dark greys that don't have a blue tint. I'll have a look at it sometime.Ameecher wrote:These all look great Andy but the container stacker and some of the cranes, in my opinion, have too dark jibs/arms.
