This.... woa. Awesome!

hehe even just for the window resize it's brilliant! (playing TTD in windowed mode feels kinda claustrophobic)

I think I might be addicted already hehehe

I love this game too.

I love watching my little trucks navigate their way though the map, except when they get lost. :-)

I suppose you want the URL too: http://openttd.tt-forums.net/.

Well for some reason the above link is broken

Need to re-dl a copy as for some very strange reason my copy will only display languages OTHER than english

That was the original URL, with the old, rather out-dated now, source code - http://www.openttd.com is the address now.

I wonder, if there is any "What we are working on now" list or any TODO list?

i'm agree with G0RR3, we don't know much about your work
what "hard to do feature" are you developing? the latest NB is dated 29 July, and since 15 July we see only minor changes, only Landscaping Toolbar and TTDX savegames compatibility are the new features?
where are multibus stations of Celestar and bigger maps?
i also would like to see the manysignals patch applied (which permits to drag & drop signals and set the distance as you want)

yes, i know that your work is necessary to mantain OTTD, like bugfixes and other improvements, but i think that is better to have a schedule and all developers should work together in a single feature, massive bug testing and other "developer jobs", so features can be added more frequently

thanks, Wolf01

The main things that are going on at the moment by people are:
- Celestar: Multibus, transfer, more realistic cachement areas, something to do with airports
- TrueLight: A much better AI (he posted some screenshots on IRC last night and they looked brilliant), bigger maps I think
Someone is also working on the new landscape array but I am not sure who. There are also quite a lot of other minor projects going on or projects that haven't got much to show so won't be in the game for a while. I don't really think a list of what they are doing is nescessary, if you go onto IRC for a little while you will soon find out what everyone is doing. Currently at the moment while SVN is down the developers are working on getting the wiki up and running.

Its all nice and easy saying what developers should do, and that they should work together on stuff, but it wouldn't actually work well in realitity. If they want to work together on stuff that means development would probably slow down even more as they are waiting for other people to do other things. Also every programmer has their own unique way of doing stuff so the same thing done by two different people could be completely different.

Also the developers don't do this as a job - well Darkvater was getting paid to do it yesterday  - but most of them do it in their spare time. They also have their own lives to run and their own jobs to go to, they don't do this 24/7. If you think you have a better idea then go ahead and do it instead of complaining all the time.

I know that you probably would rather see new features added instead of bugfixes. But most likely you'll start to complain as soon as the game becomes unplayable due to all the bugs. We still have over 80 open bugs on the bug tracker! And fixing bugs is not only the most boring part of programming, it's also the hardest part imo. I'd rather implement something cool to look at than spending four hours to track down a minor problem. But it has to be done, otherwise you'll never get a solid, stable product.

A word to all coders: Help fix bugs and you'll make us happy. :D

if you have read the following i mean which if the people who test the game for bugs is more, the time for fix bugs is less, in accord to the difficulty to fix the bug:

now i'm doing a test for all graphics sets, if i be able to run the game with a specific set, maybe my work can help the developers to make OTTD compatible with TTDX graphics sets

All releases are available through the SourceForge website:Downloads

And I'll unsticky topic now, since it's quite outdated anyways.
