Ah so you DO live in sydney, yay, another sydneysider. Funny though, our local council isn't doing anything like that... just building a mass load of speed cameras

So, is anyone going to any of the marches tomorrow. I'd really like to go, I can't really though cos I've already promised to spend the day with my boyfriend cos we can't be together today. Shame really, it's a good cause as far as I'm concerned.

War?

Post by RaptorTycoon »

I think the US is doing the right thing, altough i'd like if they waited for a couple of months. France and Germany belgium to argue that the Inspectors need more time, more time for what? You really think that Saddam will give all of his weapons up? And even if he does, the inspectors will leave. And Saddam will be free again to do what he wants, when everyone is of his back he can make/produce anything he wants againn. What about the human rights isseu, if not weapons that is a goo reason to remove Saddam from office.

Its like everything has been forgotten what has happened in the past, the US and England wanted to attack bagdad in the first Gulf War(second). To remove Saddam, But with Koewait free. All allies backed out of the war and support dropped, now the US wants to finish what was started 11 jears ago. But nobody has the guts to help.

Whatever the result that the inspectors bring to us, Saddam must be brought to justice. He is as bad as Hitler but only in his own country, the people in Iraq cant do anything to remove Saddam. If they try they will be shot/gassed /hanged and so on. He's even wors than molosavic, and everybody wanted to join attacking him so why not Saddam?

bombed

Post by RaptorTycoon »

Just a piece to add, peeps say the us "bombs" a coutry. This is not a good term to use, its not like the us let B-52 bombers fly over any country and drop bombs at random. Its silly. Not that there will be no casualties under the population but more will die if Saddam stays in office.

Yeah, and how scarey was it to hear Blair agree to giving them more time? That, to me was pretty unexpected!

Unfortunately that's not the case with us Aussies (and our stupid PM  ). The latest update I've heard... we've commited 2000 men to the operation, maybe a couple of ships but I'm not sure.

Wheres 007 James Bond when you need him... Give him a plane trip to Iraq, and we can take out Saddam with no trouble, and no loss of civillian life...

Why can't life be like the movies, we would never be bored! There would be a random event every 10 seconds!

I think USA is getting isolated, but they will still attack, with or without consent of the UN or safety council

What is Iraq going to do ith those nukes anyway? The only thing Saddam wants is to stay in power and an attack from the USA isn't going to help him with that.

THe scary part with these moslim extremists is that they have no problem of using that, I'm sure he would drop them on Israel without hesitation
