OT : On Topic

A new suggestion for the patch: New disaster where your company looses 10% - 50% of its company value due to a stockmarket crash. This way you can avoid the company value to become negativ if it reaches its maximum amount (about $ 4.000.000.000) and it makes the game a bit harder.

Yeah we did... Australian history is sooooo boring... no really it is. It just went on about all the different premiers plans, than something on how we got out of it... supposedly fast.... but after America.... and Britian (I think, I wasn't really listening that lesson  )

Ummm... I hope that M. Blunk re-releases the graphics sets soon so that they can work with each other (ie have arctic set and temperate set in the same newgrf file...)

There's a thought, this is how I do it: I place the sign near my HQ, so every few years I push my View HQ button, mod the sign and backspace the x, press enter and loose some money

A switch for this could be usefull, say every 5 years

Hey yeah, thats a good one. It could be like

Autorenew x where x is a number between say 1 and 10. I wonder what the patchman thinks, because it's a good idea. Although we woudl have to have the money in your account, so that woud make the switch harder to implement (ie the account must have at least double the money needed)

It would be cool too to use the new news thingie to have a news article when it happens so that you know whats happening.

"Raichase Transport announces major refurbishment of current passenger cars"

"Raichase Transport Fails to Deliver on promises of new passenger cars due to lack of funds"

Or something like that. I only say passenger carrages above because they would be the upgrade the public would be most interested in.

I hope that fleshed out the idea a bit.

If it's possible, instead of making it a config switch, could you make it an in-game switch, that means you can turn it on when your finacially good...

I suppose but then you have to go and activate it - better to just dump it in your cfg file and be done with it.

But whatevers easier for patchman, because your way isn't really that much work because when you play TTD you become financially secure after a couple of years anyway
