is there a patch that is just more trains for in the future?
just wundering if there is a newGRF or patch or whatever you call it that is simply more trains for in the future. i don't really like the using the
maglev. there something about it that i just don't like. it might be that it goes too fast i duno but anyway. i would like more electric and diesel trains that aren't ' from a wired country or anything just something that carries on with the original theme. I've looked at everything on the (check downloadable content) bit but didn't really like much of it. if anyone knows of any good GRFs or patches or anything that would be great because i feel like there a lot more to this game but i simply can't find it.
thanks....

I don't think an extension of the default trains exists. Almost all train sets are based off of real life vehicles and may or may not include a couple of futuristic ones. But in either case they're designed to replace the default trains completely.
Maybe an expansion like this is a nice idea for OpenGFX+Trains.

It is. Any artist who volunteers? I shall code it.FooBar wrote:Maybe an expansion like this is a nice idea for OpenGFX+Trains.

I suppose i could take a look at designing a couple of standard futuristic trains to go with the + set.
Anything in particular you are looking for in terms of power, traction type, etc?

I'd say a couple of diesels and a couple of electric engines.
You could also try to fill the gap between when the game was first made and today.

Id love to see a modern commuter train thats kinda like the Dash diesel train where the train itself hold passengers.
not too fast as well. thats why i can't stand the maglev its just too fast

I like fast. But I can't seem to find any maglevs that do ECS cargo.

You should give OpenGFX+ Trains a try.Buggi wrote:I like fast. But I can't seem to find any maglevs that do ECS cargo.
Or ECS & FIRS vehicle set. Or Old Wagons New Cargos. All three are available in Bananas.
Re: is there a patch that is just more trains for in the fut
My first-ever game that I posted here used Maglevs with ECS cargoes. Try using PikkaBird's Old Wagons, New Cargoes NewGRF.Supercheese wrote:Yep, there really aren't any I am aware of.Buggi wrote:I like fast. But I can't seem to find any maglevs that do ECS cargo.

Let me rephrase: there aren't any GRF that provide completely new maglevs that also support all ECS cargoes - they're all passenger or goods only as far as I am aware.
