It is with deep regret that I must report my withdrawal from the trivia contest. Hopefully this will be only temporary, perhaps until the beginning of the new year. My Mom's health, which was not too good to begin with, has taken a rather sharp decline in the past two months. I was able to keep playing in the small daily slivers of time that I had to myself. Unfortunately the events of the past few days will leave me without even those few spare moments on any reliable basis. I leave it up to orudge, Badger, and as to work out any category changes that they may wish to make. They having been the other most consistent participants in the two and a half years that this game has been around these forums. To all participants, past and future, I will put it simply. Play well my friends. I shall return.

If it makes a difference to Badger, or anyone else, I was planning on returning to the game with December beginning tomorrow. If the consensus is to let it die out due to a lack of participants I can understand that. It was a bit more fun back in the day when there were at least ten of us playing semi regularly. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

Wow, it's been at least a year since I've seen the quiz this busy! Keep it up, folks.

And another year of the quiz comes to an end. A very tight match last month, with Nite Owl and I drawing. Overall last year, though, Nite Owl was the clear winner, winning 8 out of 12 months. I won three months, and as won in November.

If you want to stand a chance of winning, you do need to play every single day, due to the way the points work. So I'd encourage you to all play daily, if possible, and maybe we can see some fresh names on the leader board!
