Installation on Mac

I realize that this is the wrong thread, but if someone could point me out in the right direction that would be appreciated.
I am having troubles installing TTD onto my mac (10.6.8 snow), and I have searched, but not found anything.
Yes, I am a complete, and utterly incompetent noob.
So if anyone can help me...anyone....Thanks, because, I want to play this epic game!

With this in-detail description of where your issue lies, one can only give an error description of similar depth.
Get http://www.openttd.org/en/download-stable and http://www.openttd.org/en/download-opengfx
Unzip the latter into ~/Documents/OpenTTD/data
Done
