HQ Set [Paused / Abandonned]

Post by GoneWacko »

Well as I may have told you before (in the now closed finished graphics topic, or in #tycoon) I'm gonna try to do some graphics myself :)

Currently still learning how everything works, and thus the first graphic I had released was a simple cut 'n paste job (you can find it here - ALSO INCLUDED IN THE FILE BELOW)

Now i've taken it a little step higher... The first idea was to place a helicopter on the roof of the HQ. Then I though: "How would you get inside when you're on the roof?"

The first plan was to make some stairs at the side of the building.
Image
As you can see, it's really NOT the way to go :P

Then I tried a concrete cube on the roof, where an imaginary elevator would take you down... Didn't exactly look good either, so I discarded that...

So now, I have gone back to a bit of cut and paste, plus repainting...
May I present to you: The next part of my HQset :P (See the attached image)

Windows Only

Note: In the zipfile, you'll find two exe files... They both contain my first image (the level 3 HQ with a truck) and they both contain the new Helicopter HQ... The difference: The GW_HQset_Rob.exe file will have the higher HQ, made by Rob. (edited with permission :P)

Thank you all :P

And i'll do that sometime soon Dinges...

I have just installed my new Hard Drive (160 GB :P), and I've actually installed it as a master... My hard drive was full of garbage, so i'm making a clean start :P

I won't be able to change any graphics for some time, because we'll have to install the previous HD as a Slave before we can get programs/files to this one :)

(we as in me and my dad)

EDIT: Registered at your site, Dinges

OK just a little heads up on what's cooking.

My new Hard Disk works perfectly, and i'm currently busy with installing all the programs (TTD was actually one of the first  ) like Delphi, Photoshop, etc.

I have also installed Paint Shop Pro 8. It's hard to get used to it... BIG interface change :P. I do have a small problem though... The program opens the GRF PCX files with the right palete, but it somehow has purple in the wrong places.

So the graphics are a little f00ked up :)

I'll see if I can fix that
After that, i'll take a look at some more changes for the HQ set... If anyone has any ideas/requests, don't wait and say so now :P

"maybe you could make park fit to road ??" :P
