[BROS] British Rail Openttd Set - [r52] - Release Thread

The BROS, which is a set managed by the community, aims to provide a complete set of train graphics of trains that have been used in the United Kingdom (This does not include Ireland).

The latest nightly can be found here.

Please note that the nightly is not intended to be functioning correctly and we are aware that there are a few bugs. These will be ironed out in later nightlies when we spot them. Please do not post bug reports until after r53 has been released.

I've loaded BROS by itself in OpenTTD 1.1.0, but rails option is greyed out. I've tried setting the game to varying years between 1950 and 1990, and it's not activating. Is there something that I'm missing?

Currently only late electric vehicles are available. So you will need to be around Year 2000 and build overhead or 3rd rail lines. These also work with Pikka's rail pack if you want to use those rail graphics instead.

Aha! For some reason I was expecting older trains. Well, these are a nice change of pace! The liveries are quite bright and the trains look fabulous!

Just checked in game. Its design date is 1980.

Yep, it works. I forgot I had the game in pause mode Lovely set of trains for later games!

Well this isnt anything close to a full release yet, but there are a whole bunch of models in the pipeline about to be coded, so expect the set to get a little bigger sometime soon. (Hopefully...)

Sorry if this bug is already known about somewhere. Class 91 depot graphics are having a whale of a time.

Yea this is because DJNekkid used the Class 91 as the demonstration for the power type graphics. This will be fixed in the release

The trains are beautiful . I like them very much . But the running costs are really very high . It's very difficult for the trains to make profits . Can I change that within the GRF file ?

You may have noticed that this is only a nightly taster grf, the values are by no means representative of what will be in the final release.
