It's not really crouching... More like sneaking. It also hides your nametag in SMP when you're standing behind solid wall.

You can change your spawn point using any map editor.

how about moving %appdata%/.minecraft folder and running minecraft.exe again to redownload all the stuff and start new game ?
Make also sure you have no extra texture packs as some of them maybe cause crashes

I have tried that and no luck. The game does work in the browser though, but not via the exe file. Its really strange. I have no texture packs or mods and my video drivers are up to date too. But I guess if it works in the browser then that'll have to do for now.

I have same problem then. But I play via Chrome... It's a bit annoying, because I normally use Opera, and browser client has some memory restrictions that .exe client doesn't have.

I would only suggest running exe in compatibility mode or/and administrator rights

Only way I've been able to do MP is via hamachi, TT forums minecraft hamachi group anyone?

Try http://servers.minecraftforum.net. I personally play on Leetcraft which has had problems after the release of 1.2 like most servers running mods because hMod isn't being supported anymore and its replacement Bukkit has run into licensing issues.

I tried this game like year earlier because of this thread and I found it being stupid.

This Sunday I tried it again and oh god, I can not stop playing. I bought it immediately second day and since then, I play it. Fortunately I was missing only last uni exam yesterday witch I passed.

I play Creative and Survival as well. Survival at the moment only single player to try everything, mostly fail things. I play it with one friend and we are going to play survival on a private server.

If you are playing on a server, do you do something together, or everyone plays himself and interaction is small?

Anybody got any tips on how to get rid of large number of ghasts? I can see 30+ of them at any moment and I it became completely impossible to do anything outside of my little glass tube (I built earlier when there were fewer of them, still costed me double of the usual amount of glass). I tried to go after them with bow, but they burned through my iron armor (can't quite afford diamond yet) before I could even kill one.

I can see two options: abandon the Nether outside the safe tube or start new world

Oh wow, you're f***. Best bet is to flee from the Nether, if you'd ask me. There's little you can do and almost no materials to be found to fight them there.
