Note: TTDPatch is far older and is only a software to improve the original game and never tried to replace it... So please don't compare apples and oranges...
I can understand the why, but personally having two code bases isn't good for the community neither modders... (Or they try to work together on an datafile format)

Hey guys, just wanted to drop a note here that Beta 2 of CorsixTH is out, three months after the previous release. A lot of the stuff missing in the previous beta was implemented since. And now you can finally save and load

I rss'ed updates and this project looks pretty busy.

Merry christmas everyone. We decided to make everyone a present by returning to our "old" release schedule that got somewhat warped with beta 4 and thus I may today present you beta 5.

Theme Hospital, recalling it from the dim and distant and NOT having played this version, was not without its charm. I was not to see humour the likes of it until Portal came out (Never played Dungeon Keeper 1 or 2, told it was darkly funny).

I wish you well in this endeavour, alas time restricts me to Open TTD and the Blizzard MMORPG That Dare Not Speak Its Name.
