Oceania Trains v1.0 [WIP/REL]
Oceania Trains v1.0
The XPT and Explorer of CountryLink can be found in the first version of oceanic trains. These are diesel units operating in New South Wales - from Sydney to Brisbane, Melbourne, Dubbo and Grafton in case of XPT and from Sydney to Canberra, Broken Hill, Griffith and Armidale in case of Explorer. The XPT is inspired by the Intercity125 train of British Rail, although it has been adapted to specific australian conditions. This train has already been introduced to the game as HST with various coaches. The Explorer is similar to the Endeavour of CityRail Set except that it has got variable number of coaches. Both trains exist in original and/or new coats.

Some screens from testing...
And as Strongbow said :
If you like our work, please support us. We're running Locomods.EU for almost a year now and we'll be paying 680CZK (cca. 26EUR) for the next year of hosting. We do the mods and the website for you and if you think you're getting enjoyment out of our work, a Euro or two will help us pay for the website and we won't have to pay for our hobby. Thank you.

Re: Oceania Trains v1.0 [WIP/REL]
I've just had a chance to try these out. Is anyone else experiencing weird behaviour from the Xplorer?
Despite what appears to be in the xml, AUXPL(B)S2 appears only to be compatible with AUXPL(B)S1, likewise, AUXPL(B)SB can only couple with AUXPL(B)S2. ie, I can have however many carriages I want, but any given train can only have one driving car or the other (not both, and no more than 1 per train)
Is anyone else having this issue? I've tried to resolve the issue, but everything within the xml (that I can tell) is correct. Then again, it's been a wile since I've done anything to a train's xml.
I've had absolutely no issues with the XPT, nice job on those
EDIT: Hang on... I thought that sounded familiar from somewhere... the two motor carriages have the "cancouple" flag to 1... hence the issue I had. I also think that AUXPL(B)S2 is coded backwards... or it's flipping from some other code
Also, in reality, all cars are powered, not just the first and last, each one generating 472 hp.
It would have made editing the DATs less confusing if they were numbered as the real units are EA for the driver buffet/saloon, EB for intermediate Saloon and EC for driver economy saloon. BY that I mean dat names AUXPL(B)EA, AUXPL(B)EB, AUXPL(B)EC. But never mind, I figured that bit out eventually. Also some way of distinguishing between the economy cars in game would be nice (to avoid confusion when buying, or rearranging the train - having the exact same name and looking almost identical side on is a little off-putting)

Re: Oceania Trains v1.0 [WIP/REL]
ok, after as much testing and fiddling as time will permit, it appears to me that the following changes could be made to the XPLORERs for V1.1/2.0/whatever is next...
more important:
for the two driving cabs (EA,EC/SB,S2), the 'cancouple' flag needs to be set to 0
the intermediate carriage (EB/S1) needs to have power set to 472, as the other carriages are
the driver economy car (EC/S2) needs all the sprites reversed (unless there is another way to do this?) - the car always faces the wrong way.
less important (optional):
if possible, the last two chars on the dat name be changed from SB S1 S2 to EA EB EC respectively
naming change to distinguish the EB and EC carriages in game (changing the 'description' - although the carriages normally appear different, they are almost identical when viewed in the purchase vehicle screen or 'vehicle details' screen)
I hope none of this sounds demanding - it's intended as constructive criticism.
