OpenTTD can't read in rar-files. You have to extract it first.

is a compressed file like a .zip file. You have to use a tool that can open a rar compressed file and extract the grf file contained within. Do a Google search for 7zip or go to download.com. 7zip is quite good and decompresses rar as well as zip and many other compression formats.

You should unpack .rar file to obtain .grf file.

I love using long vehicles but started to use the grf 'UK Tram Set Taster r39M'.
This grf doesn't seem to be compatable with this one. Does anyone have a similar problem as it seems that the trams take over some of the trucks.
Any ideas how to get around this so that I can use trams?

Edit: I managed to resolve this by re-starting the game and selecting allow multiple GRF's in the advanced settings.

nice SET !!! Thanks

Would be much better if trucks could turn the corners not as a one part.
I think technically it is possible. See Ikarus set from http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=44703. The long yellow busses turn really beautiful :-)

George, code it how you feel comfortable doing it. If you don't want to use too many sprites, don't code it that way. I'll admit there's differences of opinions from the community about how to do it, but at the end of the day, you're the author, and you've got final say, so I suggest doing it the your way, whichever way that happens to be.

Unfortunately, I do not find any of the solutions acceptable for me.
I'm thinking about 3 box based code. Currently I see only "jump on curves after hills" and "triple amount of sprites" problems with it.

Hello everyone!

So, I get an error when trying to access the download page:
Image

Is there any mirror/alternate link I can use to download the Long Vehicles?

EDIT: Ah ok I managed to get it via in-game content browser. Thank god.
