Mainline Nearing Completion
After 11 years of work the Panley Mainline is nearing completion.
The first stage of the multimillion pound mainline between Slonwood and Rubourne Cross is finally nearing completion.
Goods trains are already using a 30 mile stretch of the mainline between Grunfingway on Sea and Plennton which is expected to open to passengers in the coming months.
Panley Transport has also taken delivery of a batch of new TVG POS V150s which can travel upto 576 km/h, cutting travel time by hours compared to the companies previous mainline trains which only reached 144km/h!

Here is a couple of screen shots showing just one chain of industries that use the mainline. But yes the middle stages are by boat but the primary and final stages are by train.

Re: [OTTD] Ferretscouts screenshots
As i havent posted for a while i thought i might update the post. The vehicle count has reached 455, trains 61, aircraft 20 and ships 91. I also decided that for a change i wasnt going to play it realistically so i boosted the output of a few farms to their max and created a food hub where all the livestock go and another for grain.

- This is the grain hub where all the grain is fermented into beer to keep the citizens happy. There has already been one riot when the workers threatened to go on strike.

- and this is where all the livestock go to keep the city happy.

- And this is the final destination. Where the food goes in but livestock and packaging goes out by boat and scrap metal by train ( thats a different industry chain but the food chainj grew up around it) and the waste for the packaging comes in by crawler.

Re: [OTTD] Ferretscouts screenshots
In celebration of 1000 people visiting my thread i have decided to link every city on the map to Grunfingway-on-sea. Be this through a transfer service or by a service that goes straight there. So far i have linked about 5 - 10% of them so its a big project. But a smal part of it is the Hunningbury Railway Centre. So this set of screenies shows the big engine day being held there.
Does anyone have any suggestion for example things they want to see or set thats might look good?
