Hey, the trucks look good.
Here is the latest version of the Rail Depot. It can be stacked behind each other. It should be low enough to fit onto the menu button too. We'll have to wait until it is coded  .
All comments welcome.

edit:
Coded by me for z0 only. On smaller zooms the tracks do not line up. ?( It does now fit onto the menu buttons. :D

Cheers.

Awesome jordax. Very nice texturing.

northstar: nice too but there is something skewed to the left. It looks like the thicker part of the wall is skewed. Is that intentionally? Perhaps add a little more texture too. The current brick pattern seems a bit too linear.

It's awesome. Don't make construction stages, because the cinema doesn't have it. I can code it if You want.

I really like it, it's very detailed. :) I only think it's a bit too modern, as the building is used from the beginning (1950). Maybe you can remove the satelite and change some textures to make it look less modern?

I hate to criticise northstar2 but the cinema in TTD is almost certainly an Odeon...

http://www.glasgowarchitecture.co.uk/jp ... lasgow.jpg

The vertical lines aren't columns but details in an art deco style. The old Odeon cinemas were almost all built in the same sort of style with white bricks, those tall recessed windows, rounded corners, and the little bit of roof over the entrance where the names of the movies were written e.g.

I suppose that would mean re-doing your cinema. Your model is still very nice. :) I like the movie posters you have out on the side of the building. Nice touch.

It's a slow process for me, since I'm new to blender but here's the 1x1 country house with the suggested changes. Might take me another week to finish at this rate.

I'm having difficulties with the wing due to the way I put the model together, so I'll need to redo it. Should give you an idea with a more realistic roof, and I guess it's a learning process, no? :D

I think at least some girder or wire mesh below the monorail would be appropriate...

nI agree with Rainer on the monorail bridge issue, but it needs supports more than a wire mesh. It might look cool when the train passes suspended in the air like that though.

Hang in there scurker. Slowly also does it.

Zutty has a point, I think the original cinema looks A LOT like the bolton_odeon.jpg. NorthStar's Cinema is very good too and might be implemented as a seperate grf if he feels like attemting the odeon look-alike.

Thanks for the complement Hyronymus.

Here is my latest version of the monrail tunnel. I lowered the bottom section to allow the duct to be visible inside the tunnel and I also changed the textures a little.

Northstar, just a quicky: where does the light come from in TTD again? Is it top-right?

I like this house, I think that id doesn't need changes in the shape, only the texture.

@northstar -- the columns and the concave style of the entrance seem to give the theater a more grandiose air, akin to that of a large bank or a city hall. I would tone down the glamour a bit so it. Also, it needs a little more color, maybe you could add one of those colorful lighted awnings displaying a list of the screenings? Like these things

Did anyone ever code this? If not, I would like to take a stab at it...I'll have to modify the original's company colors...
