Picked up of the Wayback machine to back this up...

TBOT @ tts.balloz.nl wrote:Project status by TBOT - Wednesday, January 21, 2004 Reading the latest posts in our guestbook I've come to the conclusion that there are people who think this project is dead.

Well, have I got news for you, it isn't!

Lately we are progressing very slowly though (a study tends to eat up quite some time you know...). This is also one of the reasons why we don't post any news actually, since there's not very much news.
I make little progress updates on our forum on tt-forums (http://www.tt-forums.net,/ at the bottom).
One other reason for not posting here is that we're actually waiting for a new site, without all the TTS-stuff, and with updated texts on the project. Balloz will do this when he has time (and you may already guess it, he hasn't got time anywhere soon).

For ppl wondering about possible releases, we will release a GUI-demo as soon as it's 'done' (that is when we stop working full-time on it, and go work on the game-engine). By then it will be fully configurable and skinnable.

I hope I've informed you all enough for the moment.

Regards,
TBOT
...and then...
TBOT @ tts.balloz.nl wrote:Current state by TBOT - Thursday, April 22, 2004 Just a short message, but I think it's on it's place to post something now...

There has been almost no TTU development in the last weeks. We've picked up an other more motivating project which is keeping us busy. So for now the development is at a complete halt.
Whether or not we'll continue in the future is uncertain, it totally depends on whether we can regain motivation.

That's all for now, I suggest you set your hopes on OpenTTD, Zugspiel or Locomotion, because TTU is going nowhere for the coming time.
...but if you wanted to see what it was like the video is still available HERE

Ha! The video, how awesome :D. Can't believe it's already over 5 years ago... (not to mention that I haven't been active on these forums for years as well, I just do the occasional 'TTU' search, always fun to see what people dig up :P). Balloz and I still have a recurring thing once a year or so where we think 'Hmm, we need to make a transport game!', and then we decide to not to do it, as we've failed once before already :p.
Oh well, good to see the forum is still there, brings up nice memories ;).

Just reading this, and I rather like the irony that if the source had been released when people were originall whinging about it, it might have been picked up... okay, it might not... but still.

Also, anyone spot on the wayback machine the bit about netscape and IE... oh the memories.
