They are/will be operated by London Overground..unless I've misunderstood your question.

You understood correctly, are they adding these to the london overground or are they replacing any of the exsisting trains?

The latter of which will more than likely be cascaded to Merseyrail.

Since there is only one other company that uses them I'd assume FCC would get the 313's?

Hehe... FCC. Also the name of Serj Tankian's backing band, the Flying C*nts of Chaos.

Also, wtf is up with those hideous seat coverings? Are they meant to be 'retro'?

Never assume... 313s aren't due to go just yet as the 508s will be the first to go "for sure"... South Eastern are due to soon end with their 508s so Mersey Rail is the obvious choice... I think the 313s will more to more work between Watford and Stratford/Euston/Etc...

I was thinking that. They're absolutely disgusting. Looks like the old ones on the pre-refurb District Line stock.

FCC already double up lots of their 313s, or at least the majority that I've travelled in. I guess they'll get more but being the oldest stock on the network (bar the Island Line) they're due for replacement anyway.
