Re: [WIP] The UK Plane Set
Interesting idea. I know that some of the aircraft in AV8 (the Handley Page 42) for instance are based on UK prototype craft

Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
Can someone help me on this one, what is the actually difference between an ATR 72-300 and a 72-500 in real life.
Edit: i had only just got on the pc so i hadn't had time to check this,
The -500 is an upgraded version using six-bladed propellers on otherwise identical PW127F engines. Other improvements include higher maximum weights and superior performance, as well as greater automation of power management to ease pilot workload.
Its more of a stats upgrade, rather than a size thing, i think EXTspotter we could have used the same Sprites for that. I think we can move on from this.

Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
Thats great because then I can just use the shorter one for the ATR 42
Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
or you could use the differing models as updates...

Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
The only cosmetic difference between the 72-200 and 500 is that the different number of fanblades, but you don't put fanblades on the sprites.

Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
Well i think the idea we would go for is to have the same set of sprites as before, but then have stats update depending on the model release.SkeedR wrote:or you could use the differing models as updates...

Are these all legitimate air industries? I've never heard of them
Do feel you'll need a smattering of international colours for the bigger planes - Qantas and American Airlines, pour examplez.

Re: [WIP]The UK Plane Set [Artists Needed]
Yes they exsist!, lol
Well we started on ATRs, don't know way just felt like, but then EXTspotter started to do the ones local to him because of Guernsey etc, but we do have a BA coming up and KLM UK (ATRs) and a few others, then i think we shall move on to some more recognisable planes and schemes.
But regrads the Quantas and American Airlines, we were planning to do all UK Based companys, like easyjet, ryanair, british airways etc, course this will include all UK based planes, thats why we have the ATRs above.

Just something you might find helpful. A collection of stats for aircraft which have flown under British airways recently.
