Grfwizard Problems

When I try and decode a newgrf or one of the original GRF's and box appears saying 'Run-time error '5': Invalid prcedure call or argument' and I don't know how to fix this.Also when I try and run grfcodec.exe which is in my TTD folder a box pops up and then suddenly disappears.

that is becuase it is a commandline based software
