Server move on Wednesday 16th

Just a little note - the forums will be down for around 3 hours, perhaps a bit more, on the evening on the 16th of July (this Wednesday), due to us moving datacentre. The downtime is scheduled to occur at about 18:00 UTC, although it may occur slightly before then, and may last longer than 3 hours. Due to DNS changes, you may have trouble accessing the site for up to 24 hours after that, if your ISP caches the DNS records for too long.

Is this a move inside the host or did you change host?

We own the servers, they were moved to a new datacentre.

Oh. How long has it been like that? I suppose i've got it all wrong in my head. Tends to be the case

We moved to Gandalf (which was then replaced by another server called Gandalf last year) in September 2005. We were first at the Redbus datacentre in Amsterdam, then Eweka, and now we're at EvoSwitch. Hopefully we'll be staying here a while, it seems rather good so far.
