Hmm.. Really dunno. I think it's better if everything would be like your first tropical house...
But let's put one thing down now too... Wind is ->->-> like on train smoke, Power station not <-<-<- like on oil rig and small airport flag..
PS: And I stopped the propaganda to support Dave Worley since he got a nice new red hat now.[/color]
I know I have a BBCode error in my signature but I really cba to fix it.

Yeah I know. It just seems like the wind is 100kph. If it could be changed somehow. Maybe there should be just like two same sprites not four different.

lordazamath:
I think white part of tank is missing bright area from sun, like you did in CC part.
Flag is fast and suitable for a ship's flag, but I suppose we don't have animation there. :(
Soeb:
Very nice, but mirror it. Dark side is opposite way.
Zephyris:
Nice buildings. They could have some more details. Scale? You know my opinion. I will repeat it for the 100th time: 2pixels/meter(height) > ~6 pixels/floor. This for high rise, newer buildings. 7 is OK too. All 1-2 storey houses can have 7 pixels and older buildings 8.

I was hoping it would be drawn as a windsock - far more appropriate for the airports. But it is a nice flag :)
OTTD NewGRF_ports. Add an airport design via newgrf.Superceded by Yexo's NewGrf Airports 2

well, to make it easy for me to update it it will need a pretty good directory structure, and every creator of the newgrf should use this in it's .nfo file...

edit;

I made an example here.

People should point at the valid sprites in the proper directory.

i've made a few categories, and i think it's enough, but feel free to suggest more

the sprites, and also the .nfo-file should point at it in the following location:
sprites/<category>/<nick>/<name>.pcx
or some sub-dir in your nick-folder in that category.

for example if someone is working on buildings, one might want tropic, temperate etc categories, but what you do in that <nick>-category is mainly up to you, it's just to keep it clean.

the ftp is currently not up, but the site can be reached at:

Just ensure that every .nfo uses a relative path, that way eliminate computer to computer issues.
I see the main advantage of this being the sharing of standard resources (textures, templates, style guidelines, etc.), but a sensible organisation is again vital...

Sorry about the double post...

So as anas... so as athian... so as athano... so as *ctrl+c ctrl+v* athanasios suggested here is a generic brick house drawn at a strict 6px per storey scale (2px below window, 3px window, 1px above window). What do you think of this scale? I think I like it...

well, the way i thought to do this is that every now and then i copy/paste the content of <some>.nfo into the "main" .nfo, and code it. How often is probably just upto the users of how many new contributions have been made.

i guess i could make a "directory structure.zip" to make sure everything is placed properly... and how to make relative paths in the .nfo, do i have no clue about, do you?

I liked the house, so I made more anyway :D Again, like with the last set, these can be recoloured to stone/painted/brick and tiles/slate/thatch/snow with ease...

I realise the roofs have a lot of red in them, its easy to fix!

Those look great. They look good with red rooves. Maybe you could do some ones in the style of old stone terraces with slate rooves?

very nice.. but what's with the ones with one white side? Is it supposed to be like that or is it not finished yet? Because I think it looks a bit strange with that one white side :?

other than that, awesome work, once again

Zhephyris- I really like the houses. One thing i would say is that the windows look a little bit "flat" and too similar. I tweaked a couple to see what you thought. The ones on the right are the ones i did. Also-it seems that in the windows there are some funny colours used- from the water cycle. Only the odd pixel, probably be easy to fix though.

I have also been drawing some buildings recently- although Im not sure whether they would be suitable for this project. I think this small block of flats probably would be though. Let me know what you think (i haven;t drawn the construction stages yet)
