Tis' the season, so after some 2000 revisions - here it is - my patch again synchronised with the nightly/source - revision 7490 (the Mini_IN update is not provided because the patch is already included there - if needed, PM me).

You realise these changes are better suited as a NewGRF, right?

I can't say I do because these are the real names and real speeds and to me - the game feeling is really different/better when seeing them.
Of course someone can easily make them into a newgrf.

I quite like Pikkabird's UKRS, but I'm not going to hard code that either. If you made your changes a NewGRF, they'd be available to anyone without having to patch the source.

Well - I suppose I could do it, but I have done zero newGRF work so far, so tips are welcome. ;)

BTW - how about finally including the (my) patches in the source? I really miss them on the (almost) all (0.4.8 ) release-network servers?

lang/*.txt changes map quite simply to action 4, and the changes to table/engine.h map to action 0 with not much more difficulty.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

update

Post by SirkoZ »

Here's the updated patch for source r10348+ - it's improved train accel/decel/curve handling patch - handling based on train's speed instead of comm.... tie-ying all the vehicles to one slow speed of e.g. entering depots and stations.

Oh and BTW - until we got Hertogjan's physics patch to use - this one more than makes up for it - for trains that is - well they _are_ the mostly used vehicles in O/TT/D. ;-)

Every now and again - the patches get updated - this time to r10715 of the nightly sauce. Yummy!
Also - the origveh.txt fix (for more real-like vehicle names) is included - this time without the loco speeds and powers fix though...

Added an essential/simpler version for depot and station entering speeds only... (r13916)
