Tactics against the AI
Tactics against the AI
For reference purposes I used to play TTDX without any patches.
It's no secret that the AI in the games isn't entirely intelligent.
There are many ways of causing your opponentt o reroute or even demolish his buildings.
Building lines in front of his depot.
Building lines across his vehicle roads and cttrapping them. You can purchase a low cost train to repeatedly run backwards and forwards in front of the road to prevent vehicles from crossing.

Welcome to the forum, but
1) I'm guessing everyone already knows about these things
2) This is the section for real-life transport discussion, i.e. the wrong section
Perhaps take a look around and see what other folk are posting before starting your own topic.

Or crash them ... same tactics can be used against humans, but expect swift revenge if you do so ...raillord wrote:For reference purposes I used to play TTDX without any patches.

Actually, maybe the best is to not interfere. The AI is so stupid that it is likely to bankrupt itself entirely on its own

If you need something, do it yourself or it will be never done.

Quite. The US Defence department use TTD's AI algorithms in their seek and destroy missile systems.Bilbo wrote:Actually, maybe the best is to not interfere.

George Bush was trying to aim for Afghanistan. How it got into "Ah-rack" is unknown.

Re: Tactics against the AI
That's only if the AI intelligence is low enough, right? In any case, I just borrow, borrow, borrow, until I have enough to buy out the enemy company entirely... yes, it's mean, but either way, that company would've died eventually.Bilbo wrote:Or crash them ... same tactics can be used against humans, but expect swift revenge if you do so ...raillord wrote:For reference purposes I used to play TTDX without any patches.
