OK, how, and for how long? I can load TTO and TTD on XP, and often load/start a game, but very shortly afterwards, it crashes.

Yeah, I can do so as well, but it crashes with some kind of critical error, such as memory errors or something... it never works longer then a minute...

I tried everything to get TT dos or TTO dos working on Windows XP. I changed the *.nt files in every way, I changed the memory settings in every way, I tried everything!!! What is the secret??

Well, I tried that NOLFB.COM utility Combat pointed us to, but it didn't help - TT[O|D] still crashed shortly after loading, with the same old error.

yeah well, the MS-DOS 'emulator' in Windows Xp just doesn't work with TT, no mather what you try.

i just got transport tycoon off ebay it has been a long time since i played it i didn't even think to find out if it worked on xp. so if you can rememeber how to get it to work on xp that would be great. i got the game to have sound and i can pick my guy then it goes back to xp.
