[RELEASE] Low-floor Trams v2.3

Post by strongbow »

The first tram in this pack is the czech Skoda 14T tram, designed by Porsche. Originally destined to replace old stock in Prague, two other cities ordered the tram from Skoda Transportation as well - Brno and the polish town of Wroclaw. The archive includes all three variations, plus a company-colored version in the bonus folder.

update 5.5.2008
In version 1.1, XML fixes by Hodkowicz are added that set up the back as the power car and the front as the driving carriage, both are required to build and run the unit. Also, the 16T middle section is now low-floor and if you noticed any graphical glitches on the Skoda tram in company colors, they've been fixed. :)

update 15.2.2010
The new tram from Skoda, ForCity, is in the 2.0 release. Comes in two variations, 15T for Prague and 17T for Riga. Apart from that, there's one commercial livery on the 13T, one on the 14T and three optional Czechoslovak tram stops for different time periods. These replace the game default passenger terminals.

update 23.8.2010
Added the Skoda 14T in the advertising livery of PRE in the 2.1 release. Fixes include the naming of the Forcity trams, both called now 15T, updated graphics on the Riga 15T and a lower price on the 14T trams.

update 15.5.2011
The 2.2 update adds the bi-directional 19T tram for Wroclaw and four different-sized ForCity trams in company colours. Then there's updated code for all 5-part trams to enable coupling, fixed coupling on the ForCity trams and correct power on the 16T tram.

update 5.10.2011
New Citibank livery on the 14T tram in the 2.3 update.

Whoo?!
I'm waiting for your Prague (almost) trams...:-D But T3.PV is the same as T3R.P from my DPP Set, so if you don't want too much work, my stuff is here for you... 8)

Many greetings from lazy hungry fat Koala

Well this is meant as an add-on for your DPP Set and you can include the Prague versions in your set too.

I want to try the T3R.PV as I will do the T3R.PLF and it's not much work to modify it into a "standard" T3. I know there's T3's in your pack plus SQ made a T3, but I just love the timeless design and want to try it too. :) You can include it as T3R.PV in your pack if you want? Plus I'll do additional liveries for other Czecho-Slovak cities too and put them in my pack.

Greetings to Hodkowicz, the kangaroo hunter and koala wrestler! :P

Hmm. Actually I just started, but I could use a good top view blueprint if you happen to have one? :)

Ever thought of doing the Nottingham Trams?

This might help. It's a cardboard cut-out tram template

I was thinking about it in fact as I like the design, but first I want to do the local trams here.

Somehow it proved difficult to find good T3 blueprints, so I started with the newest Prague tram, the Skoda 14T, designed by Porsche. My building speed is slower than usual due to real life issues, but rest assured I'll do some stuff for Loco, even if it is one pack / year.

Anyhow, I thought about scrapping the T3R.PV and T3R.PLF and just doing what's missing most from Hodkowicz's DPPSet - the oldest Ringhoffer tram and the newest Skoda one.

Here's a very early WIP pic. More soon.

@Hodkowicz: Please hold the urine. :P
