Prague Public Transport v6.0 [WIP/REL]

Post by Hodkowicz »

Pack consists of many types of trams, that have always been running and always will in streets of Prague. Trams are created from MSTS models (repainted into Prague colours) downloaded from http://mhd-msts.ic.cz/. Ikarus E91 is modern midibus from Hungarian factory, which operates in narrow streets of Prague.

Version 2.0 consists of Ondra Janiš MSTS models of Karosa B731 (B732 - formerly made by Proky and Pnaky), C734 and LC735 and 3 types of Tatra KT8D5 - model in old colours, model in new colours and new modernized model KT8R5R.N2.

New pieces in Version 3.1 are older trams T1, T2 and K2. Tatra K2 has never gone in Prague (Tatra T2 only in 2 prototypes), but they have considerable place in the Czech Tram History. I've modified some things in the old models (mainly capacity and driving properties)...

The newest czech tram Škoda 14T Porsche, which was added in version 4.0, was originally made by Stronbow. This tram consists of 5 parts and had to be divided into 2 pieces, so everyone needs both parts. Also new is the addition of the tram starting sound and DPP prefix for all dats. You should delete all of old dats. And the last news is that you can buy buses Karosa B732, C734, LC735 to the end of a game until I create newer types.

The 5.0 update includes a number of the best quality new city and inter-city buses. Also Prague underground carriages and underground stations from the Strongbow underground set have been added. The dat names have been set to the final DPP form - T for trams/B for buses/M for undeground - XXXX for carriage shortcut. As always, I suggest you delete all the old files.

The series of joint buses, a prototype of metro train R1 and trams RT6N1 now in version 6.0. Also the Karosa C934 and B931 buses underwent a few light changes in the speed and the year respectively. The models 81-714.1 and 81-717.1 of Strogbow Prague Metro Set have been graphically changed. The Siemens M1 underground trains have been added its own sounds.

It's a very nice pack, although unfortunately Hodkowicz doesn't have much time currently to do more trams. :(

I've decided to contribute the newly rebuilt low-floor T3 tram once I find enough time.

Of course!

There's actually a choice of 3 different low-floor tram types in Prague right now. Apart from the T3R.PLF pictured above there's also KT8D5.RN2P (included in Hodkowicz's pack already) and the Porsche-designed Skoda 14T, which I promised to build as well. :o

Well there was actually another lowfloor tram in Prague 10 years ago, the RT6N1, but noone likes to talk about this embarassing piece of history anymore. :P

"Embarrasing piece of history"?!? What was the problem with it?

Even after countless reconstructions, the reliability of this tram in Locomotion would be somewhere around 10 probably.

Strongow, be careful what you say!!! Because one day I'll return back to Prague and I'll want everything you promised...
This tram (T3R.PLF) is one of my plans, but I don't know when it is possible to do it. Now I prefer CSD Set...
