2,000,000,000 pound income goes negative

Im in the year 2078, and my trains have just broken the 2,000,000,000 pound income mark, but as soon as this happens in the accounts, it goes negative. So instead of making 2 billion, it comes up in the accounts as a 2 billion pound loss.
Is this a glitch on my program or is it something that happens to everyone? Is there anything I can do to fix this, because I've lost over 4 billion pounds in two years!
