This wasn't planed

I will try my best but currently I have no time to review the code for tunnels. Do you found more bugs?
But you can use the bug as a feature

Yeah, right. That's what they all say...eis_os wrote:So it was a planed feature, IT'S NOT A BUG, have fun!

Seriously, it can't stay like that. If you then build a tunnel in the middle in the same direction and height as the original tunnel, trains will break into pieces and the game will crash.
Making crossing tunnels possible is one thing, but lowering land and breaking the tunnel I can't accept, sorry. I'm afraid you'll have to remove that "feature"... or I will.
I will definitive rewrite this routine, no problem, give me some time.Patchman wrote:Yeah, right. That's what they all say...eis_os wrote:So it was a planed feature, IT'S NOT A BUG, have fun!

It shouldn't be so much work, but I have to add a runindex call, so I have find the right place... There isn't much space in the routine
i liked it...

I know, but the patch breaks a lot internal ttd rules, like trains going on road tunnel endsDinges wrote:me too, with tunnels under the water.peaz wrote:i liked it...

I tried all things I know at the check for is there are tunnel in the way...
Hmm, I think I have to check if there is another tunnel in the same
e direction the way while building, ohhh nooooo

All assembler code for this check welcome...

It doesn't work the way it is intended anyhow.Sadly.
The two trains crash when they reache the same point in the crossed tunnel.

Yeah it is a pitty.
I'm not a programmer, but couldn't you change this tunnelcrossing feature into a tunnel that at the entrance lowers the track by one tile and raises the track back one tile at the end. An upside down bridge, sort of ?
You could do this maybe with the crtl-key for this type of tunnel and without the ctrl-key for normal tunnelbuilding. Then you could in fact cross two tunnels and use the feature to "bridge" a piece of water, aswell as tracks and roads.
