Ultimate screenshot - the Standard Server Live Webcam!

Post by Brianetta »

Here it is:
Image
It updates every seven and a half minutes with a new random location. In case it's being really boring, attached is one from a lively session on the server.

The screenshot is showcased at http://ppcis.org/standard/

It should update more often though. So far, the only train I've seen is a K4 Pacific, and the game year is 2007. :P I've also seen a B&W picture of some generic double decker buses.

EDIT: New aircraft available: Boeing 797 Sonicruiser.

Yeah, next game I'm altering the message settings for the server. Perhaps every three minutes would be more entertaining, but I just wanted something current for my server's page. (:

Hmm, I've seen a hill, a news message and another hill which might even be the same as the first hill. I only looked 3x though. Isn't there some way to find company owned land through command line and focus on that?

You think I wouldn't have used it if there was?

No, the only commands available are scrollto and screenshot, the latter of which is scheduled to be removed from the dedicated console. I have to calculate an address randomly from the map's dimensions. This is as good as it's ever going to be.

What he said. *goes to set up a compatible version of OTTD*
If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger locomotive and try again.

Too bad, guys - USSet is gone. It' sUKRS today, and I replaced the USSet with NARS, because I'm a total Pikka fanboi.

It seems to like picking places of no real interest :(

It almost caught a company area but instead succeeded in finding a pair of tunnels! How unfortunate, the current one is one tile of railway and the rest is the coast... what a shame.

Cool idea! Is there a way to use this also on a local single player game? Would be funny to make a little story from randomly taken shots...
