Patch for Mac?
Any news or ideas on a patch for Mac OS X? It would extremely useful for Mac users as you can only have OpenTTD with only a few add ons that work (of which are glitchy).
Thanks for any comments.

As I understand, -REtheridge would like to know if there is a way to apply TTDPatch on OTTD, then get all the grfs and freatures from TTDPatch instead of the few that exists for OTTD.
The answer is "no". OTTD game is just a clone of TTDLX. That's mean the whole code is different from the original game, so TTDPatch can't be applyed on.
But OTTD isn't limited as TTDPatch by the lacks of the TTDLX engine. By this way, devs are free to create new feature easily.
TTDPatch features and grfs are currently worked arround to be added in OTTD. I mean new instrustries, new cargo, new houses and other stuffs are worked arround and should be available in the next version of OTTD. Just be patient

If you want to use TTDPatch on MacOS, my understanding is that qemu and/or [dar]wine will do the trick, depending on whether you're using a PPC or x86 Mac.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I installed OTTD using my old MS-DOS CD, and it work fine with the Windows GRFsBorn Acorn wrote:I believe he's using Windows GRF files while he has the DOS paletted original graphics which is causing the "glitches".

What is the difference ?
New houses don't work at all with the new patch, nor roads renew (but I hane new road, but don't know where they come from : they're different from GRF screenshots

But for vehicules and stations, everything works fine with the Windows versions of GRFs...

You will see that newhouses ARE working alright... a few gliteches, I agree, but still...
Got to explain what is a patch, exactly, for you... Quite a mistery for me..

If you are not ready to work a bit for your ideas, it means they don't count much for you.
OpenTTD and Realism? Well... Here are a few thoughs on the matter.
