Some ideas

Post by StRaVeN »

I'm playing OpenTTD not long time - about 6 month, but I've got some ideas about it.

Firstly, it would be grate, if you will add some another sheep. I've got such grf file for example. If you would be interested in this, I'll send it to you.

Then, I think, that it will be grate to have 4 seasons in a year and the combination of all 3 climates - grass, Snow in the mountains, desert far from water

And the last about what I want to ask, is why there is no Russian in language list? Maybe I could help with it

if you haven't already please read this
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=22278
Environment

* Seasons
* Two height levels
i believe Two height levels is referring to the same thing as all 3 climates. (grass, desert then snow)

those two ideas will most likely be implemented after the new map array, graphics system and cargo system is out

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

And if it's something that can be done with a grf file, then the only support you will see for such feature is support for the grf file in question.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I don't think too :)
There's newships grf (imo it's far from perfect, but if you're tired of original ships - use it).
I support 5 tile types on 1 map (temperate grass, tropic grass + desert, subarctic grass + snow), or 3 types with only temperate grass if 5 aren't possible.
4 seasons of a year... yeah, good idea in total, but - as far as i understand OTTD's engine can't provide smooth seasons changes, so i don't think this feature with OTTD's limitations will be actual...
- It's hot as hell in here.
- You see it too? For me, it's always like this.

I'm from Russia, so I'm not very good at English. So, I just have got some ideas and posted them. I have no time and possibility to read all forum to find similar ideas. So sorry.
And, of course, ships. Where could i find this newships grf?
And what do you mean "Two height levels"?

At the moment there is one height level if i am correct where there is snow in the mountains two height levels would mean there would be grass on close to see level then dessert then snow. In reality its not that simple but that has been an idea.

All right. My idea is somewhere near it.

And what you could tell me about adding or modernizing Vehicles (ships for example). It is planed in some version, or it wouldn't be in Open never. Mostly I'm talking about new graphics, because now I've got all, what I need.
