Could be! :P Well, to motivate such a thing I assume several players should already be using this bundling method, but I'm pretty sure I'm rather alone - at least as far as my particular concept regards!

Michael, could you please tell me more about station tiles detecting train? Is tile able to change its graphic when train is on a tile (with a certain speed)?
How about animating station tile with some moving object, just like coal mine shaft?

And finally, is it possible to use both features at time, so that animation begins when train arrives at the station, and ends when either cargo or train is gone?

> Michael, could you please tell me more about station tiles detecting train?

This would be achieved by a var.action2 using var 44 on stations:
http://wiki.ttdpatch.net/tiki-index.php ... g_info_44_
i.e., it´s only possible in connection with PBS.

> Is tile able to change its graphic when train is on a tile (with a certain speed)?

Only when a PBS path would be reserved.

> How about animating station tile with some moving object, just like coal mine shaft?

These are done by CBs 140, 141, and 142.

> And finally, is it possible to use both features at time, so that animation begins when train arrives at the station, and ends when either cargo or train is gone?

Yes, by setting the diverse animation triggersyou may specify those events.

hi michael,

have you redesigned all the steam engines of DBSetXL? to make them animated? e.g. the new pr. P8 looks like that.

Yes, all steamers (and a lot of other vehicles) have been redesigned for v0.9 and I added a couple of steamers as well. And yes, all steamers and rod-driven electrics are animated now.

Thanks.

They are under the New Vehicles, DB Set section and just scroll down. Everything is there!

Hi,

I know this may seem a stupid question, but how can I get stations like the one in the pic on to my OTTD? I run the latest miniIN and Nightly.

I already have the passenger stations that are similar to this, just none of the frieght ones. I've also searched the forum, but can't find anything. Could anyone help me out?

Thanks 8)

You can't, since they are not released yet.

Wouldn't they? OpenTTD has had NewStations support for quite some time now. ;)

I don´t think they have support for animated stations.

Not yet, and not least because I know of no publicly available sets that use it currently.
He's like, some kind of OpenTTD developer.

Intercity BR 103, Scenario Germany

Post by earlwarren »

Hi Michael,

I have a question regarding the livery of the Intercity trains in the 1980s.

In these times, the BR 103 pulled trains which consisted of two first class coaches, the dining car and 5 or more second class coaches. The first class and dining coaches had a livery in red-beige, the second class coaches were painted in blue-beige colours.

I would really like to see these trains in the game. Did you ever think of integrating this in the DBSet?

Greetings from David.

P.S.
I added my German scenario, which is quite suitable for the DBSet I'd say. There is a lot of raw material industry and merely few processing businesses. Hence there will be a need of large goods stations. I tried to place resources as realisticly as possible. E.g. the Ruhr area (Ruhrpott) has a lot of coal reserves.
