But you are specifying an absolute path to grfcodec.
If the *EXACT* command-linedoes not start grfcodec, then you need to cd to someplace else.
If that is, for some reason, not an option, then you may specify absolute paths to both grfcodec *AND* trg1r.grf
My guess is that you've got something likein which case, grfcodec is quite rightly looking for C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\trg1r.grf. And, unsurprisingly, can't find it. You need to cd \openttd\data first if you want grfcodec to look for \openttd\data\trg1r.grf, or you need to tell grfcodec that you want it to decode C:\openttd\data\trg1r.grf, not just trg1r.grf.
If the *EXACT* command-line
Code: Select all
grfcodec -dp2 trg1r.grf

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> C:\openttd\data\grfcodec -dp2 trg1r.grf
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

i did a truck in my spare time. it is boxlike and is driven by computer(you said it automaticaly goes to its next destination so theres no need for a driver) the red line on the front bumper are things that keep the car on the road . the roads will be magnets that this red thing detects and folows. the black line is a wire conected to the solor pannels on each side which also power the engine(it levetates) at the back is two antenas so that the car can be track by... people (you?)

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
come to think about it i didnt realy...think about that
well i dont know of any other sorce of power for them. not petrol - in the year they are in im sure its scarce and i wouldnt but a battery in there either. cant we move the sun? or perhaps shine a torch on the panles
they wont know the differance
*any ideas as to what i could so??

Nuclear power is one option. If water and oxygen is abundant (Kuiper Belt resources?), then hydrogen fuel cells are viable. UKRS already uses fuel cells to store energy for electric trains that don't need electrified track. (-:
From that first link comes this interesting solar power histogram:

Why not? It would fit. A nuclear tender - you could be the first!Tidus97 wrote:yea lets stick a nuclear power plant in a truck... :?
Other options are purely mechanical traction - cable cars, or perhaps a funicular of some sort (that's the Great Orme Tramway, which I've been on - it's very cool).

Well, there aren't any at the moment. Components needed would be the reactor, boiler, turbine, condenser (or big water supply, if that's your heat transfer fluid, but I'd recommend He) and generator.Tidus97 wrote:A nuclear tender ?
what would it look like :?:
have a read of this page to get an idea of what it would need, then be creative!

The technology exists to fit all this into the 30 tonne payload of the Space Shuttle. That's about the same size as a modern wagon. To do it as a tender, all you need is to place your reactor, configured as a small power plant, on a wagon and couple that to an electric locomotive. Presto: Nuclear tender.Tidus97 wrote:and how is this all gana fit in a car
the car must be self sufficant
Simply uncouple the tender and add a pantograph, and presto: You can run the train under normal catenary. You just have to worry about (nitrogen and CO) ice.
Bear in mind that Pluto has an atmosphere in summer (by which I mean perihelion), which condenses and freezes in winter. Luckily, those seasons are 140 years or so long - ideal for the average OpenTTD game!
