Handdrawn (Sketch) Graphcis Set

Post by prissi »

It was a long time in the making but the first alpha version of a set using handdrawn graphics (with 96*96 size images) has been made ready. Just look at the screenshot ...

Wow nice job. I'm the 3rd viewer (yay). Looks like Simutrans but beter.

Great job!!!
Image I like Articulated Buses or Streetcars (Although I really like anything with wheels including planes, Thanks to Seelenquell for making Toronto's ALRV and CLRV for Locomotion. All we need now is a TTC D40LF and D60LF to go with the LRVs. Plus the Scarborough RT vehicles too.)
Resion for the LRV's is to make a good alternative to buses. Visit Here for more info.

Well, it is Simutrans.

ATM I'm still in need of some vehicles, which include some pixel tweak.
(I'm need of tweaking them, that is)

Oh, and need to scan three or four pages or industry!
This was made from scratch, so there are lots and lots of things to do.

If you're interested, a public-release version will be out when all the vehicle-industry thing is done

If someone is interested in this project, drop a pm.

BTW, this is the website:
http://www.raven.simutrans.com

Regards

Raven

PD: And thanks prissi for introducing this set

EDIT: BTW, given the possibilites and the freedom provided by such an approach to graphics, I'm trying to make some accurate and variated sets of buildings and vehicles, this will take some time, but progress never stops around Hand-Drawn factories not at day nor night.

Again, thanks prissi for implement different sizes for vehicles (not anymore limited to half a tile!, so tired of all long vehicles be either the same size or halved to fit) <-- Is TTD or OTTD still limited in this way?

Honestly, the big idea was by raven. The simutrans engine also allows for the size (96*96) he chose and needs much less files for a makeover. This set runs with the standard exe, so my contributions are nil.

So all hail raven.

It's been finally released.

It includes a timeline of american vehicles for the whole XXth century. Also some ships and Boeing planes, I gave monorrails a try too. You've even got lil trams for those crowded streets you'll surely end having.

Visit this topic in the simutrans forums:

http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php/to ... w.html#new

Please feel free to report any bug you find around. And these are plentiful (Not really), but this is mostly a stand-alone project.

So, what else can I say? Yep, back to the construction site!
