New map, hand made by me. The objective is to deliver 90,000 crates of goods in 20 years, with the game beginning in 1980. No AI.
Inside the zip file you will find two scenario files. The first riquires no mods, but the second requires the BR Set V2.1.0 , which can be found in the locomotion graphic section of this forum.
Enjoy

If I'm not mistaken its about where it should be.

Well, I managed to do it when I tested the map. You have to grow towns and supply industry to produce goods to achieve it.

Well, i made. The goods weren't the problem as usual.
The peeps who didn't want them were. .
And my Chemworks made a fuzz after a while and dropped the output dramatically from 2700 tons of goods to about 400-500 a month.
The Infrastructure for a higher amount wasn't good enough.
I have to try to get the towns earlier to needs of goods. It had taken about 10 years before the wanted it. After 2 yours i had 50% moved. then disaster struck of the chemical output. So it took another 4 years and some month.
Next time i'll put all the chemical works (3 i believe) at work.

I have had a lot of hours on this map. Played with others in a swap like competition we managed the objective inside 10 years and saw some radical and subtle differences in players game styles.
Once a town is grown to take goods there is plenty of goods making potential on the map. Coal+Iron=Steel->Goods was the biggest industry making Goods in our game.

Well i thought the risk is with iron ore and coal allthough small one could drop so you won't produce a lot of steel.
Chemicals however can produce as much as coal or iron ore.
That's why i choose the chems.
The wood is very limited, however it has a constant flow.
Enough wood could do the trick as well.

TT...yes that is a risk with iron and coal. You need both in equal quantities and loss of one will reduce the potential for goods.
But we managed the coal and iron mines to increase production to 2000+ tons per month. With trains and their orders properly managed the risk of production deceases is minimised...(but never eliminated.)
The other reason for coal and iron was that we had a competitive element in our game and the most profitable routes within the constraints we set proved to be those coal and iron ones.

Ty very much for this scenario. I had a lot of fun with it even though I didnt complete it..One more year and I would've had it...70,000 crates in 20 years..oh well. My biggest problem was Peebles and Carlisle ended up being my biggest cities so the distance I was transporting the goods probably slowed me down a bit. All though Stornoway got big and I had all the refineries sending goods there and that helped out a lot. Thx again..glad to be a part of this community. You all make some good stuff that make Locomtion fun!
Now I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but I don't seem to be able to get the towns to accept goods. Do they start accepting it when they reach a certain size, and if so what size do they have to reach, and what's the best way to encourage town growth?
Many thanks, and sorry if this is really divvy-level stuff...!
Cheers
