alpha 61, 62, 62 fix problem with check for var 42

Post by George »

With var 42 I specify the view for unknown cargos for RVs by testing cargo class (var 42). It worked fine with alpha 60, but since alpha 61 they are not displaeyd correctly.
Maybe the problem is that action 0 <Id> value is now an extended byte and I misunderstanding how it works? Please, have a look. a grf is here

I just tried to debug this but it's impossible to load the set.

It says that the AI manager needs to be loaded. But when I load the AI manager, that says that various other files need to be loaded. OK, so I do that. The last one it complains about is the NA LongBus set. But I can't load that, because it needs the AI manager loaded first!?

The next time you submit a .grf file with a bug report, I'd appreciate if you could modify it such that I can load it without juggling 20 other files. This is wasting my time.

[edit] Turns out that it just complains and gets a red flag, but still works. How useful...

Anyway, I guess I'll also need a newcargo grf that sets cargo classes properly to reproduce this bug, but you've neglected to set the cargo class of petrol it seems. So I can't actually test any of this properly...

Free hint, George: "All required files (including a newgrfw.cfg) in a single archive."

Hmm... That line seems rather familliar. I guess it must just be me, though.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

But runs without it. For all the files it is a warning, not a error

ECS files are required.

As I wrote, for a test you need files from the development folder. It is impossible to use only one of them, because some problems appear only all of them are loaded :(

Suggestion: to have one more visual state for GRFs (yellow) - loaded with errors or warning
