I know i posted a link to this engine in a previous thread but was unable to determine what people actually thought of the idea due to the lack of replies, so i hope the moderators here wont take a dim view of me posting again.
I think that analysing the GNU/GPL engine Spring might be worthwhile, i know the engine is designed to load external models and execute scipts for each model loaded as well as supporting land see and air.
