I've been busy updating TTDpatch and the new text strings, but I hope someone (Josef :roll: ) could help me with this. When you have the new vehicles in your game, their names are (originally) in english. The only way you can edit them is by saving custom names to disk. I think that's somewhat strange, since they aren't really new vehicles, but only re-used toyland vehicles. Isn't there a possibility to add the new vehicle names to the mkpttxt.exe, just like the ship names? It would be easier, otherwise you have to install three files if you rather play a translated version. Two is A LOT easier!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to come up with a good mechanism to do this. The easiest I can think of is to make another .grf file which contains only the translated name and nothing else.

But that doesn't make it a lot easier either...

Oh, but that will do too! OK, it are three files but then you can keep the vehicles.dat file for yourself, you don't need it to get the proper names. Can anyone tell me how to make such file, I'm a retard when it comes to programming / making things work.
