Cant you make it refitable like the ships? So you can refit it to the type of train it hangs on?

Because brake vans don't carry the stock of the train, it's just like a bedsit for the guard, with a stove, chair, some magazines, and stuff like flags and lamps. They'd carry stuff like boxes of goods or mail, but only between stations for the workers of said stations. "Hey Fred, could you drop this bag of potatoes to Jim at Newtown box?"

As far as i know, anyway. So it'll be like 5 or 10 bags of mail. Unless it's possible to do anything like increasing the lifetime of the engine, its only purpose is aesthetic.

I agree with Atlantis.
It was only mend for the conductor annex brake-assistant.
The only loads were freight papers, belonging to the wagons in that specific train.

In that case let's mod the locomotives to carry 2 passengers, the driver and the fireman! Nah, they aren't passengers. :P

I think 5 bags of mail would be enough - IE internal mail etc?... but then what if u wanna put it on a coal truck? Hmmm... could be quite cool if it had say 5hp of power ......

Ideas ideas....

It can't have any power, since brakevans don't have motors in them. They were used to control the brakes on goods trains (which isn't needed in loco) and not to give trains an extra push, like a banking locomotive.
