[OT] Picture of myself

Post by Eddie Bernard »

Hehe! I know a very long time ago you all wanted to look at pictures of each
other (ooooer!!!!) and I've found a picture of my class on our school
website. So, by tommorow, you'll finally get to see what I look like. I'll
stick it on a disk and upload it to my site tommorow. It is a picture of my
class taken last year, and I look a lot older than what I do on it. And
you'll be able to see some of the other fools in my old class as well.

It's not a very big picture, but I can point out who I am. I was wearing a
rather eye-catching (hehehe) yellow sweatshirt on the day.

Avert your eyes my friends...'tis not a pretty sight ;-) I'm not looking
completely at the camera, so it's only about 3/4 of my face, but I'm doing
my lovely smile! I'm always told I have a lovely smile.....

If there was enough demand (lol!) I could try and scan in my school photo
taken in September. I'm looking radiant on that one ;-))))) Hmm...too much
ego. Did I really close that inflated ego tag I opened a couple of days
ago?!

Does this mean that there are pictures of everybody available? Where?

Let me think....Rick's is on his site in the Bio section
http://www.transport-tycoon.co.uk
Paul Wright's you have on your site
Dan Ros, one on his site http://www.uplink.freeuk.com
Phillip has one on his site
http://www.crosswinds.net/~pwcsoft/cf/c ... /index.htm (second row
from the bottom)
Chris Locke used to have one on his old site, but it has gone now
I *think* Remi is in the class photo on his site. I'm not sure which one
though...

There are a couple of people who I don't know whether they have one or not.
Spider, Pasi, Boudewijn, Stephen Down and a couple of others spring to mind.
Peter

PS: Are you really so young? I thought you are about 30 or so.
Yes I am. 14 years old. I remember when I first told everyone my age,
Christie said something like "you sound older (or was it mature) because you
post older/mature." Any reason why you thought I was older? I don't fulfil
the typical stereotype of spotty immature, troll that has become the picture
of people my age on the net.

Your level of science and literal expression is higher than it is to be
expected. Much higher. You react quite different to situations as somebody
with 14 or even with 20. Your think before you write. You have a kind of
authority aura. Therefore I suggested about 30.

One of the great features of Usenet is that you can judge people purely
by their posts, and not by their age or appearance. I have said before
that the general level of posting in this newsgroup is very high. That's
one reason why I stay here (as well as liking TT!).

Society in general is slowly getting rid of racism and sexism. Will
ageism be next? I hope so. I don't always want to act my age.
Next Sunday I'm going to a Pantomime (a comic play with audience
participation). I want to be able to shout "Oh yes he is!" without
embarrassment!

certain children's tv programme... :-)

I have been told though by someone on this group, who I don't think is on

time ago, and I can't remember why he said it now. Anthony Houghton it was.

Hey now... I watch cartoons a lot... like 'The Real Adventures of Jonny
Quest' or 'Steven Spielberg Presents Freakazoid!' or 'Steven Spielberg
Presents Pinky and the Brain'
They are actually also meant for younger people (I'm almost 16) and I still
enjoy them a lot (the only problem is I know every Freakazoid episode by
heart)

And many of my friends also watch cartoons as well, so I don't think it's
very unnatural.

Hey now... I watch cartoons a lot... like 'The Real Adventures of Jonny
Quest' or 'Steven Spielberg Presents Freakazoid!' or 'Steven Spielberg
Presents Pinky and the Brain'
I love Freakazoid and Pinky and the Brain. I don't know why. Perhaps
Freakazoid is my insanity pill, while Pinky and the Brain, is something to
do with the "conquering of the world" side of things. Besides that, they are
quite funny, and some of the ideas in Pinky and the Brain are pretty cool.

I know all the words to Pinky and the Brain. I don't know very much on
Freakazoid, I know all the words of the Animainiacs, and all the words to
Tiny Toon Adventures.

Freakazoid hasn't been on in this country for a while.

But back to the original point Dan raised on the Tweenies, these are for
even younger people. 3-5 year olds. And I said, loads of students watch
them. A quick search on Deja revealed some discussion on them in the
University Newsgroups there are.
Oh, and I can start watching them again. We finally got a new video, so I
can record all the Tweenies!!! Hooray!!
They are actually also meant for younger people (I'm almost 16) and I
still
enjoy them a lot (the only problem is I know every Freakazoid episode by
heart)
I watch all the kids programmes when I can. All through the holidays I made
sure I saw every episode of the Tweenies, even if it meant staying up all
night! I don't know what I like about it, maybe just the music. And the
characters....very cute!

Super teen extraordinaire
Freakazoid, Freakazoid
Runs around in underwear
Freakazoid, Freakazoid
Something something, hmm, DC.
Freakazoid, Freakazoid
Unless there's something better on TV
Freakazoid, Freakazoid

His brain's overloading
It has a chocolate coating
Something case for Sigmund Frued
Freakazoid, Freakazoid

Check out Dexter Douglas,
A computer ace,
While surfing on the Internet
He got zapped into cyberspace
He turned into the Freakazoid:
A strong and super freak,
He drives the villians crazy
'Cos he's a lunatic.

That's the limit of my Freakazoid song knowledge. I'd better not do any
others, I'll get flamed rather violently, and rather hardly :-)
And many of my friends also watch cartoons as well, so I don't think it's
very unnatural.
Here, here! I wish they'd show them later of the day though!

Indeed. With the kind of life expectancy people in the 80's generation
(like me and lots on this ng) will enjoy (150+ ?), it's bound to change
how people act according to their age.
Normally people DO act according to their age, although there is a broad
variation range.
If there were no typical cases there were no untypical, too.
