Just give it a rest please guys. Debates like this are never settled and
just escalate into full blow arguements and even flaming.

Chunky has got it right, lets all get on, just like we used to. Probably
some little stirrer started this debate looking for trouble I'll wager.

I don't get it... aside from my post about England because I wasn't sure if
there were anybody else besides UKers here, there was only one thread about
countries. That was the one where someone asked about Danish names...

I think the Americans are great. I love the country, and as I've said the
only thing I hate are people who think that the USA is the be all and end
all of the world. It isn't. If the USA vanished, then we would have a
difficult time surviving I assure you.

That wasn't directed at you, by the way.

Besides, look at the way we (USA) messed up the world with the Great
Depression. It's pretty obvious that's not the case.
