ScreenShot
Hi there,
I think I remember someone requesting screenshots of the XCom craft (why do
we call it the "XCom" craft?) and the UFO's of the sub-ordinairy climates.
Well, I found the XCom craft for the tropical climate, after destroying a
refinery. I'll put it on my site (http://www.bdijkstra.tmfweb.nl) today CET.
BTW (17,5%): I created a special reply email address for NG's:
newsgr...@bdijkstra.tmfweb.nl. The old address
(webmas...@bdijkstra.tmfweb.nl) is now for replies to my website.
Boudewijn
PS. Am I asking for spammers now?

Re: ScreenShot
In article <7unkfp$bl...@azure.nl.gxn.net>, Boudewijn Dijkstra says...
intercept UFOs in Microprose's "XCom: Ufo Defense". AKA "Ufo: Enemy
Unknown". It's called Skyranger there, and doesn't actually destroy UFOs
but has soldiers that then go around killing aliens and looting their
stuff and so on. Another one of my favourite games.

I once accidentally posted with my real, unmunged address
(five years ago) and am still getting spam to it, a few per week. It
took a while (a few months) till it started, but it's been pretty
consistent since then. And since the newsgroups were the only place I
used that address, I am sure that it's from there.

Chris Sawyer apparently liked the game a lot (or perhaps it was Microprose's
naff advertising)
Also to note, apparently there is a sub in the game that points to the
second X-Com game
(I've never seen this BTW!)
Did it look like a normal jet fighter?
And did you get a 'suspicious explosion' at the same time?

There was a game out called X-COM - Enemy Unknown (Americans would know it(why do we call it the "XCom" craft?)

was cute, I was afraid it would ram my ships (if you've ever played "Up
Periscope!", somewhere in the eighties), because it kept cruising all over
the place (where my oil-tankers were), but it hasn't done anything so far...
I'll warn you when I've found another weird vehicle.
BTW: I discovered a folder-error in my site, the TT-picture-zip was
accidentally put in the picture folder, not in download, while the link
linked to download. I'll fix this asap. The jpg's in this zip have been
modified to ensure a small quality picture.
have fun,
