I'm using Outlook Express to view this group, and it goes back now to June
(when there were only a splattering of posts a week)
I just looked and DejaNews doesn't run this group (well, not that I could
find)

Is anyone interested in viewing this back-catalogue?? It seems kinda sad to
just dump it all, and I'm not too sure how to go about saving it (well,
apart from trying to archive it to an Access database or something...)

Comments please??

Chris, if you tell Deja to search for the precise name of this newsgroup,
you should find it. I occasionally use Deja when I'm on my free connection.

I was collecting the entire archive but I forgot to disable the delete
posts option in the Outlook Express options.

If you can get Outlook Express to make a Unix-compatible message file,
then most people will be able to import it into their newsgroup
programs.

If you can get Outlook Express to make a Unix-compatible message file,
I can't export it at all - and the native message file is semi-text.
I can manually export it to a text file or something ... theres only 304
messages, so it won't take too long. Just wondered if anyone else wanted
it...

Deja does carry this group...
Apparently so. I must admit I didn't look that hard. I did a search for
"tycoon" and certain sentances I knew to be in the group, and it just
coughed at me. I'll have another go...

options.
It doesn't matter what you select - Outlook still tries to delete "expired"
items. Grr.
