[WebR] Who are the target users? (Closed)

Post by Zuu »

[WebR]: This thread is a research thread for the website team. Everyone are allowed to comment as long as you stay on topic and motivate you're arguments.

Question: For who are we making this website, new users, old/existing users (that we don't have yet), new developers, existing developers... ?

Other categories of people that we traget? (young, old, transport fans, employers, Quake fans ..)

Answers: Plese stay on topic, and motivate your arguments.

People interested in this project who want to follow the progress and expect a new nice screenshot every week.

Not for current developpers, maybe future developpers (if they find the project interesting)
Artists (music / sound) to look at the current graphics style so they can contribute.
Players who want to beta-test.

In general I agree with Pjaytycy, you can summarize the website as our medium to get and keep in contact with future players. But is it already necessary to mention beta-testing now?

Nope, not on our site, but I guess that's why players (ie: non-devellopers, non-artists) would visit the site for... => Finding out when they can play.

So basicly the website will be for players and new players. Also new developers have been mentioned. And when we talk about new developers, we talk about make people with developing skills (ie programmers, artists..) interested in the game. But _not_ new developers who want get to know the internals of the project.

Do you accept this descreption?

All players are new players until we released the first version. It's safe to keep in mind there will be 'new players' once but for now I suggest we focus on establishing a solid Pavlov-reaction between Transport Empire and the desire to play this game.
