How to slow the game down?

Post by piotrus »

A n00bie question, but I spent half an hour trying to find the game interface and next half looking for the answer on the web :> So - tell me please - how do I adjust the game speed?

I can't build anything while the game is paused, and without the pause the game runs very fast - 2-3 days per second. The forward button only increses the speed. It is impossible to play the game at that speed, I am afraid.

Help the n00bie plz - where is the interface part responsible for speed ajustment? :>

PS. Great phpBB forum skin. Thumbs up to tho whoever made it.

Usually it should be the other way round: 2~3 seconds for a single day.

To check for possible reasons for that behavior it'd be helpful to know ie. what version you run and what OS it's being run under.

The canon speed is ~2 real seconds per game day. If you're seeing something faster than that, and you don't have fast-forward turned on, then you've found a bug, but I have no clue what it could be.

<CTRL-ALT-C> brings up the cheats window, where you can enable buildwhilepaused.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.
